hello,

the link to the neon board with cam info dosen't seem to clarify the differences between 2.4 and 2.0 cams.

although I'm pretty sure I have 2.0 cams as I got them out of a 98 neon sport, the pulleys are labeled 2.4 and they look identical. also, both the 2.4 and "2.0" cams have a "532" imprinted on them

the numbers i'm getting off my "2.0" cams are:
L-4
/288/

and

L-8
-254/

they both have a 532 cast in and have 2.4 timing belt pulleys. I didnt get more numbers off the 2.4 cams.

I'm hoping they are 2.0 cams not something that got swapped out.

ALSO, how is a good way to store these? i wiped oil all over the lobes, sprayed them with wd-40 and stuck them in a plastic trash bag and got most of the air out, but its not air tight. is this ok? im thinking i should pull them out and smear grease all over them, but would rather avoid that.

thanks for any clarification.

With the locator holes strait up both pins will be in same position
for 2.0 cams.

With the locator holes strait up the pins will be 180* out from
each other on 2.4 cams.

Nope just the 18mm headed bolts, easily see slots for pins.
so you can just unbolt the pully bolts, but leave the pullys on?

I didn't do this, however they do have pink paint on them. awesome.

This info should be in the sticky area, much mis information on
the net (re-read to day for refresher on my new car).
