Not sure on the truck switch but I went from a 02 Focus SVT to a 04 Hemi Quad cab and not had any thoughts of turning back to Ford.
I have owned a bunch of Fords and last year got the Hemi and a 89 turbo omni and 88 lebaron gts turbo - both cars for what I would have had to pay for a decent mustang and I am enjoying them more than I did my stangs.
It was a good switch except for the gas but I am dealing with that!
