So as most know the trans in my 94 is failing. After some thinking, I came across a 94 grand with the 3.8/4-speed combo.
I can get the van cheaper than any of my options, so I've decided to pick it up being it runs very well and has very low mileage.

Hoping this will be a straight-forward swap. Swap drivetrains and underhood wiring/ecm/tcm and be on my way.

Swap is done and running great.
Everything plug and plays as long as you have all the under hood wiring.
It's extremely smooth and quiet.

It's actually very weird.

The power delivery of the 3.8 is so seamless compared to the 3.0 that it almost doesn't feel as fast. Then you look down at how quick the speedo is climbing and realize it is quite a bit quicker.

I am very happy with it. It performs better, it's quieter, it's smoother, more responsive, and I'm hoping it'll be better on gas cruising as it runs much lower revs at cruising speeds.

should be almost 50 Ft'lbs of torque.
And roughly 20hp.
I love the way it feels, it's definitely quicker, it just has seamless power which makes it feel different.
It's got enough power/torque to make my Grabber AT2s fight for traction, which is something the 3.0 could only do when the pavement was slick.
