Okay so I'm convinced I need to get going on having a big mouth TB fabbed up
for my draw-through T1.

I need to know if I use a specific 46mm butterfly from a specific make and model
or if any one will do?

I'm going to have a machine shop here bore straight through 46mm against the stock 42mm. Does anybody who's done this have any insight or advice on what to watch out for or avoid, etc.?

cant see how it would matter..
there just a plain bit of flat, circular steel

Well it is for just a log T1 so I don't wanna spend much.
Dollars spent to have the shop make one could be used to have an existing one knife edged and screw's countersunk.

I called around to all the local JY's, they only seem to have 48's and 52's.
What makes used the 46mm butterfly people used to make these?

it's not a TD size; so the question is :

what OE TB is 46mm ?

Yes that is the question indeed.
Also the mounting holes will have to be on pattern as well.
