i am building a 2.5 motor right now the guy i bought it from gave me a comp cam with .49 lift on intake and exhaust now my question is i dontg think the stock springs would work (could be wrong) whats a good upgrade for it and how rough will the car idle?

Want to look at the comp cam 26995 beehive setup. Think there's a sticky on here about it. It'll handle that cam and the revs above 3500 will sing smooth as glass.
right on found them at jegs 16.99 for one. what retainers do i use?
use the retainers for those springs

if useing the mopar valve don't bother to get the listed locks - they won't fit your mopar valves
the ridge on the lock will not match the grove in the mopar valve - leaveing slop at the lock (valve can move up & down in the lock)

use a mopar valve lock instead - they may be off 1 degree (7 vs 8 ?)
and the mopar lock will also sit a little deeper in the retainer

BTW people running a slider have to run a ZDDP additive. I like this place because they sell it in paste packets, so your not adding a quart of oil to get ZDDP and you run it with the synthetic oil you like. This is important to run with a non BB turbo too

keep in mind to use a S60 cam which this is on a 8v engine you need to have a ported head with +1 valves, a fully ported 2 piece with 52mm TB, ported exhaust manifold, .63 turbine of equivalent and big exhaust. Lastly a custom cal in the computer to run it with bigger injectors. Needless to say the LAST mod you do to a turbo 8v.

If you don't have any of this and aren't looking for big engine mods, look at the 20 PSI thread in the FAQ forum.
auctually i already have a fully polished and ported head with +1 valves 2.75'' exhaust (straight piped) can i put a 52mm tb on a one piece intake?
No, The neck after the TB is smaller than a stock 46mm TB and you can't open it up. So putting a bigger TB is pointless.

what would you recommend as the biggest tbto put on a one peice logsetup?

I bought a case of this from Eastwood last year --pretty reasonable. I use it in all my Flat tappet cars&Trucks.

log and 1 piece are different intakes BTW. You can run a 58mm TB on the compressor of a log engine if you want, really doesn't matter.

Biggest on the 1 piece blow through should be a 46 stocker, until mass mods to the intake
