'89 Silver Daytona production numbers?

4498 Views 16 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  87shelbur
I just bought a 1989 Radiant Silver Shelby Daytona with t-tops, Leather seats, pretty much loaded. But I was wondering if I could get the numbers made with T-tops and leather. I know 258 in total in 1989.

Out of the 5669 Daytona ES models that year, 1489 had T-Tops, and 539 had leather.
Oh sorry its a Shelby Daytona not an ES. Sorry I left that out
i love the 89 shelby z t-top(silver and leather), one of my buddies had one. its now got around 225xxx and in storage. stock motor and tranny, rebuilt turbo and headgasket only.

this is the car that got me into TD's!!!
Yeah I love them! I snatched this baby up about a week ago down in Virginia near Richmond. I got it for 1,200! 88,000 miles 5 speed, radiant silver, leather, and t-tops! All it needs is a pant job, the motor had just gotten rebuilt and the guy needed the room. great deal I think!

Unfortunately you cannot breakdown color into ttop or seat options. However 1953 shelby models came woth ttop, 1231 leather total. Does yours have AC? Only 41 came without mine being 1 of them... Welcome to the dytona shelby ttop club:thumb:
Thanks I'll have to see, I'm pretty sure its loaded with options including A/C only 50 were made!
258 came silver. One of them is mine. Mine was auto, has t-top and red int. I bet your car is super clean. Mine was a lot of work lol.
If you go to the "other site" all the production #s are there.

Who did you buy the car from? I see you are in WV, I'm wondering if you bought my old car.
Hmmm, what you got to go to the other site for?? :brows:...Check out my ongoing contribution to Turbododge.com:

Sorry - Didn't know that was here. I thought he was looking for the actual data and accessory reports, which came right from Chrysler, those are there. Looks like you have the same data, just not the PDFs of the Chrysler reports.

I started a Silver 89 Daytona thread years ago when I found out how rare they were. My car doesnt have leather and was auto. I bumped the thread yesterday.

That car looks great! My car really needs some work, I have a 568 and a clean motor with a few thousand original miles on it. So I need to get that motor put in, out of the Lebaron. Then the seats need recovered, new paint job, and new pipe run for the exhaust. My garage has six cars in it, and three motor cycles so I can't really work on it now :bang head But as soon as spring comes we will get the Lebaron and Daytona motors swapped and then I will take some pictures. It's pretty embarrassing right now! I actually picked up the car from Richmond Virginia, but it might be your car! :thumb:
