I've got a 93 Daytona that I bought from a dealer who hot wired horn and high beam buttons rather than fixing them the right way. I chased down a used multi-function (turn signal) switch and replaced the horn relay. I believe I have all the wiring hacks put back where they belong. Now we have low beams and the high beam indicator light on all the time. Everything else, (high beam headlamps, fog lamps, turn and hazard signals, dash lights) all seem to be working fine. The diagnostic manual says to disconnect the natural connector from the BCM, and if lights go out, replace it. Just want to make sure I haven't missed something else before dropping money on a BCM.:surprise:

Welcome To TD!!!

It appears you have properly followed the diagnostics as written in the FSM.

If you followed the "Headlamps Will Not Turn Off" diagnostics in the Body Diagnostic Procedures Manual and verified the...
1)Headlamp switch is off.
2)Headlamps are illuminated
3)Disconnected the BCM natural connector and the headlamps turned off

The flow chart reads replace the BCM.

Well, mystery mostly solved. The BCM checked out OK. When we went into the headlamp switch, we found we weren't the first novices there. Somebody probably was attempting to resolder the connections, and broke some of the printed circuits, then took unshielded wire to jump the connections. One connection bridged two solder points and another wire hooked to the wrong solder point altogether. So we fixed that and now everthing is working but the high beams. My guess is that may be what started the whole thing. So we push that ball a little further downfield...

Glad you found it. :thumb:
Chryslers diagnostics "assume" the vehicle is still in stock/factory configuration and that nobody was in there modifying the modifier before hand so on a 25 year old car where you are not the original owner...
