Pull the clutch pedal up by hand and hold the auto adjust mechanism so it lets go of the piece that holds the cable. This will let the spring pull the cable down and put more tension on it. When you push in the clutch you should feel resistance, then near the floor it should get really easy and not require much force to hold to the floor.
And since your shadow is a 93 you will have to find the speed sensor wires in the automatic harness and splice into those, I'm not sure what/where those wires are since I never had to do it before.

Check the sticker on the driver side door, it is possible that it was built in 92 and sold as a 93. If it was built in 92 then the speed sensor is a direct swap and should work fine with no splicing. If it doesn't work try replacing the speed sensor. If it is actually a 93 then you will have to splice the speed sensor into the harness to make it work.

This guy may have a problem. see starting in 1993 the 604 trans no longer used a speed sensor on the passenger side axle shaft. the speed information came from the output speed sensor to the TCM then across the bus to the engine and body computers. not sure if a regular speed sensor can be wired into the harness and give out speed information. this one may pose a big wiring nightmare problem

No problems here, it is very possible to make the axle shaft speed sensor work on a 93+ a604 vehicle, see Ondonti's post.
