Anybody interested in 1.8" lowering springs?

Well, me and another td member here in regina are looking into getting some 1.8" drop springs made for my lebaron, and his shadow, but in order for the company to make them, we need to order 20 sets for them to make it worth while to make them. They will be a similar spring rate to my sunfires which are 350 lbs/inch in the front, and 250 lbs/inch in the back. They will fit any k-car derivative(shadow/sundance, acclaim/spirit, daytona/laser, lebaron coupe, lebaron gts/lancer, k-cars, etc) The price will be around $200 cdn including tax, plus shipping to you door (around $50-60 due to the size and weight of the box). If anybody is interested, PM me, and we'll go from there. Hopefully, there are 20 people on here that want a decent set of springs for a good price, and make this group buy happen.

Sounds interesting, I would definitely want some! And bump!

Don't let this group buy die... I know how many of you would love some drop springs!
4 springs? or just the fronts?

They will be a full set of 4 springs, not just the fronts. I have 5 sets sold so far, I need 15 more to go before they will be made up.

Just for fun, what did you pay for them, and how much do they lower your car? I just installed a set os suspension techniques on my brothers protege, they were $250 plus tax, and they only lowered the car 1.2". Barely noticable, but in my sunfire, they look awesome, got rid of the ugly wheel gap, now the car sits just right. I want the lebaron to sit the same way, hence I'm trying to get them made.

You need a set for the shadow, okay, only 14 more sets to sell, then I can order them in.
Hi, I just have some questions regarding this group buy.

1. Will these springs work well on a lancer shelby?
2. Will a the 1.8" drop make the car look like the top of the wheel is tucked in the fenders? almost like a semi slammed look?
3. Is this a reputable company? Is there a chance the car might end up leaning to one side after its all installed?

thanks

Would they be fine on a lebaron vert? If so i'm interested, i'm looking to re-do most of my suspension soon.

Yes the springs will work on your shelby lancer, Mike M from regina will be putting a set on his lancer shelby. The car will sit lower, and the top of the wheel should be at the top of the fender (no more wheel gap).

Yes the springs are made by a reputable company called SSC, based out of the lower mainland in BC. They supply all the springs to sprint racing, and I've installed a couple sets so far, and the quality of them is very high, they even come powdercoated red, not black spray paint like some others I have looked at. you would not be disappointed. I have a set on my sunfire, and they rock.

Yep, they will fit your lebaron vert, If all goes well, and you buy a set, I might be able yo throw in the 90+ navigator for you too.

I may be interested

Are these lowering springs just for looks or will they help my car handle better?
And is there a possability that my tire might rub inside the fender now and then?
And what size tire should I be able to fit once I have these springs on?
Are they progressive rate or linear rate springs? and whast is the spring rate for front? and rear? I'd be interetsed in a few sets depending on the answers to the above questions.
Thanks,
Cindy

Cindy, they are a progressive rate spring, and I have the specs that they gave me over the phone on friday, the fronts are 400 lbs/inch, and the rears will be 300 lbs/inch. As soon as I have 20 sets tentatively sold, the order will be placed, and it will take about 2 weeks to arrive in regina, then they would be shipped out within the next couple days to the buyers.

That would rock! I'd greatly appreciate the navigator. I know i'll have money if the springs do become available so I definately want them.
Interested. What is the price in US funds?
