I just recently bought an autogage tach # 233904 and was reading the instruction I understand it all completely but just have a few question like how do I fuse the red wire for the 12v ignition switch? I know I have to clip two wires to calibrate it to work on a 4 cylinder, and any idea where I can run the wires to so its clean as humanly possible would be greatly appreciated. my car is also an 1989 Daytona C/S with an 88 2.2 and im still stuck on a mounting area :bang head

This one???

All of my wiring was spliced into the cluster wiring except the tach signal that is direct to the coil.

Looked up your tach, nice large shiftlight.
Either tie into a switched ignition feed that is already fused or add an inline fuse holder placed under the dash where it is hidden but easily accessible.

As I stated, I tied everything into the cluster wiring and have had no issues in over 5 years.

I am not familiar with the dash design on an 89 so I cannot help with where to mount and actually run the wires to keep them hidden.
