ok my ? is this.
is the flywheel from the auto's the same as the manuals.
if they are then i can get a lightweight flywheel right???

Yep, Una's right, manuals have flywheels, autos have flexplates. Two completely different beast.

Nah, we all gotta learn sometime, dont worry about it. Once you see one in person you definitally will be able to tell them apart.

Flexplate is about 1/4 as thick and heavy as a flywheel. He's definitely on the money when he says you'll know when you see them in person.

Ok, that's totally false. There are stupid questions, like a third year medical student asking why he's got a butt hole. That's a pretty stupid question.

My 98 acr neon has a modular clutch and it does not have a flywheel it uses the same flexplate as a automatic neon ;)

my chevy vega has a tilton 2 disc race clutch that attaches to an automatic flex plate
