Got my block back from the machine shop for my Spirit R/T. I don't even have it on the stand yet and I have a question. The front aux. shaft bearing has a oil groove from the oil feed holes in the center of the bearing to one edge of the bearing. The original bearing doesn't have this, and neither does the mopar replacement that I have on the shelf. I suspect it may be a "problem solver" type deal to get more oil to the front half of the bearing. This might help with the spalling that this bearing is famous for on the TIII engine. Does anyone know if this is the case. My fear is that it will overload the seal and cause an oil leak. So I guess my real question is:

Does the oil groove go towards the outside or the inside of the engine?

If it was put in wrong, now sure would be the best time to take care of it!
TIA,

17 years and still no responses.
Even tried contacting the MFG several times and never get a response from them either.
I don't understand why the part was modified by the MFG and they don't include instructions.
