no , the L bodys use shorter axles than all the other cars

the hanger bracket assembly for the part with the U joint also changed in 87

the splines on the axle shaft also got bigger on the non L body cars too in 87

yeah , 'cept for the go really fast guys

you could get away with the one piece axle from an L body without turbo as well
auto or manual trans will work but if your omni still has the stock trans you will need the axles from a pre 88 auto - if that's what you find

in 88 (I think) the axle splines got bigger on the auto trans - same as the 87 &^ shelby
but the 5 spd omnis still used the earlier trans with the smaller spline axles

if you wanted to put the 87 &^ shelby daytona trans into your omni then you would need the axles from the 88 &^ automatic trans omni

New to turbo fwd mopars,
can you swap to the unequal axles shafts?
Seem to have a vibration at highway speeds i don't like, and was wondering if going to the long right axle would help/hurt the situation?
89 t2 auto
thanks
