Im looking at picking up an 89 shadow tommorow 2.5 TI. I took it for a test drive today and when i pulled it back i the drivway somewhere near the rad it puked out a brownish mess. We then put more coolent in and it came out the same spot. What would this be. Could it have been oil in the coolent. Blown head gasket? Need help asap as im planning on putting a down payment on it tommorow.
Thanks
Brendan

sounds like the brownish mess your talking about is the coolant system that hasn't been flushed in MANY years... rust building up basically..

It has been sitting since before last april. So it should be ok? I can't deal with another project at the moment.

Does the car have heat when she is warmed up. Or if the heat blows hot and then blows cold when your fully warmed up is a good indication your head gasket has gone bad or even no heat at all.
