I searched, and only found 1 post, which is basically the same question I'm going to ask...

I have a GLHt with a bad motor. I have a good 88 TII motor in my garage. Can I just put it in and go with it?

It will run but the computer is not tuned right for the intake manifold. suck through t1 cars ran richer on two cyl and the computer copensated for it. now with the later intake on it it will not. se if you can find a glhs module to swap in to make it work. you'll also have to run new wires for the ais motor. this swap is covered extensivly on many sites. you will basically be doing the t2 conversion. Read the thread that is stickied in the engine managment section for more details.

Thanks. I was just going to do it as a way to get the car to wherever I was taking it (down the road about 5 miles). I'll just get a tow for it. So it sounds like I am going to be undertaking the wiring for another TII swap! Fun stuff.
