Need some advise for a car cover for my Rampage. It will be stored outside, with no shade in New Mexico. This is something that I am dreading to do, but at this time this is my only option for Reba.

I do plan on putting foil up on windows to keep out the sun and heat from blistering the interior. Any other storage advise or experience would be helpful.

Thanks!

This is why I am shopping for a good car cover, I do not want to damage the finish. That is the best part of the car, is the body and paint.

I just ordered a sealskin for an Omni. I will let you know how it goes when it arrives.
Wow, they have them for our cars. Do not have one specifically listed for a Rampage, but they do have one for a Charger, which is basically the same.

Which model did you get?

I checked several sites and haven't found any that make covers.
The closest would be a Covercraft cover for a 1985-87 Shelby Charger.
You'd have to put something in the cargo bed to keep the cover high enough to keep rain from accumulating.

The 80s El amino was smaller no?
Rampage -

Wheelbase104.2 in (2,647 mm)
Length183.8 in (4,669 mm)
Width66.8 in (1,696 mm)

Elcamino -

72 inches wide,

55.5 inches high

202 inches long,

117.3 inches wheelbase

Quite a bit smaller than a Camino.

This situation is vastly complicated with misrepresented property lines, so where I am able to park it is technically not my property, but for those not paying attention it is my property. Plus, this is only for this summer, by this winter the Rampage will be in a garage. Think buying a quality cover is best option.

Fair enough then. California car cover co makes some nice covers for just about every vehicle out there. Just make sure you get one made for outside and secure it good to the vehicle as to minimize the rubbing on the paint. You shouldn’t ad any plastic or tarps on top because that will retain moisture and those covers are made to breath so there is no mildew.

If you can afford it, I have found the Car Capsules to work great. I live in a area that has a lot of mice/chipmunk problems. They have damaged wires and upholstery to a lot of peoples cars.
The Car Capsules are impervious to them and keep the moisture out as well.

I have 2 of the 16 foot outdoor covers, side by side, for my Daytonas. The neighbors like them because they don't see any cars in my backyard.

Both cars stay dry and clean, year round. Several years ago, I had considered paying to store them for the winters, so the capsules have now more than paid for themselves.

One reason I forgot to mention is protection. We had high winds come through last night and this came from my neighbor's tree.

As far as I'm concerned, they have paid for themselves. That would have done some damage.

Those look great, really like the idea. Just a bit too much for me right now.
