We've made 2 car shows so far with the Daytona.. been interesting. Both have been small local shows. It's been pretty funny watching "car guys" walk around to the back to see what it is.! It's amazing how little people know about these cars. We're definitely having fun taking it out and seeing the response of people who actually had one.

I went to a pretty big show a couple of years ago put on by a antique auto club in my area. When I pulled up to the guy taking the registrations, he says "OK, class O - Mustangs". I said "It's not a Mustang." He takes a step back to look at it and says "It's not?". I reply "No." He says "It's not a Foxbody?" I say "Nope, its a Dodge Daytona Turbo Z". He walked to the back and looked at the badging and says "Yup, not a Mustang". We both laughed about it and had something to talk about when he came by later to check it out. I've been to quite a few local shows and cruise nights around me since I got the car and I've only run in to two other turbo Dodges in about 9 years. I do get a lot of "I remember these" "You just don't see them anymore" "Remember that show Hunter?" or "Hey, have you ever seen that movie The Wraith?"

When I take my Laser and Daytona to shows, I hear a lot of stories of how people had friends in high school who had a Daytona. To me, the Daytona looks like an '80's Firebird, and the Laser looks like a Camaro.
