So we all know that the 3.3/3.8 will fit in a 90+ LeBaron/Daytona with little modification. They had a 20+ year run ending their FWD service in 2010 with the Town & Country/Grand Caravan. In 2011, the 3.6 Pentastar replaced all 3 v6s of 2010 in the face lifted minivans. Going off of pictures of the motor/transmission mounts in the transitional years of 2010/2011, I honestly can't find any differences between the two. They're listed as being incompatible however, So this is where I hope someone who knows more can chime in.

Of course, the newer generation vans share nothing with old k-cars, but if the 3.6 shares mounting points with the 3.3/3.5, then what says they won't mount in a 1993 Fifth Avenue? Yes, there are MANY more things to think of, accesory locations, overhead camshaft fitment, transmission (which I've read that the bellhousing is reused?), wiring, cost, etc. For 300HP n/a, I think it may be worth the trouble.

Right now, I'm just trying to figure out the mounting part. Did the 3.3/3.8 have a change in those mounts during the run of the engine? It never moved plants, and if the 2.4 had minor mounting differences, what says chryslers "cost savings" applied to the V6s? If this is possible, I have serious intentions to go through with a conversion like this. The parts are quite common and inexpensive in the Metro Detroit area, unlike the original turbo dodge engines.

I was just looking at all of the mounts, and yes they are different, but not drastically so.... I am going to need to swap the motor in my 05 DGC in the near future, and I was debating between going with 505performance internals to take a 3.8 to 4.1 and then boosing it, or dropping in a 4.0 and seeing what I could get out of it....but based on looking at the mounts, etc for the pentastar I am thinking maybe....the real question will be dealing with the electronics as it is an NGC system, and there is a lot of communication going on between the engine and the trans..not to mention in my case the rest of the vehicle...
