Has anyone put a cold air intake on a T1 daytona. K&N would be the best but they dont make one specificaly for it. Has anyone bought a universal one and installed it? What are my options out there and would any custom fabrication be necesary.

I did this for my T2 ShelbyZ. 3" 90 and a 3" 45 with a custom stainless box around the filter and SMEC. I could see the airbox temps because I could read the temp sensor in the smec. I tested it at the track without the airbox done vs. just the stock smooth T1 hose with no filter and this one sucking in hot underhood air and picked up a consistent .1 of a second which calculates to about 10hp. It'd work on a Mitsu equipped car too but the gains would probably be less.
