Thought I would put out a feeler. I am interested in purchasing a consulier GTP if anyone is selling. I would prefer an LX but not a hard requirement. I am located in SoCal though, so unfortunately cant do any engine swapped cars.
While I like the concept, I kinda feel like if doing an engine swap today, unless symbolic somehow (like maybe putting a 16V into a lotus of some kind), it just makes way more sense to go for an engine with more modern support and already designed for the right layout.I couple of ideas I've had in the past "liister bell stratos with a mazzi headed 2.2 IF they could build itthat way for you

or
a "factory five cobra daytona coupe" with an IROC R/T motor and two shelby/dodge 16Valve , valve covers

or say a 1928/9 model A pickup ..they were built with4 cylinders .so proportionally they would work real nicely as a modern 4 banger hot rod

Just a different stroked thing probably. I personally tend to prefer NA to turbo power so I dont realy have a desire to swap the lister or daytona. As for the truck, I think id rather just have the shelby dakaota by a fair ways (always loved that thing)lister stratos is basically the same format as the counsler out back..
cobra daytona would be north south rwd with a dakota bellhousing and the supra / colorado trans
beyond a simple td motor I wouldn't pay the stupid money for todays junk
the turbo dodge 4 banger makes any of the above .."affordable"
