Anyone know how I can copy a font off my computer and send it to someone to use? I tried serveral ways but it won't let me. ?:|

You have to put it in a compressed file. ( zip ) then e mail it as a attatchment. If you try too send it as a font file it will see it as a system file and not send it . But if it is compressed, it has a .zip extension it will be seen as just another file and let it be sent. Search ( or Find) on your computer for winzip if you have windows. If not you can get free programs off the web. like www.cnet.com or www.zdnet.com or other sites.

If all else fails mail it on a floppy disk!

actually, you don't need to zip it to fool the mail, just rename the extension.

Copy the file (e.g. somefont.ttf) to another location (like the desktop)

Rename the file from somefont.ttf to somefont.ttf_

Attach the file to an email message and send.

The recipient can then save the file to their desktop

remove the _ from the extension.

relocate the file from the desktop to the fonts directory, usually \windows\fonts\ - depends on the OS and installation preferences.
