I went to go look at a 87 shadow today, price is right.. car is in decent shape. BUT... when I popped the oil fill cap to check for blow-bye it was under LOTS of vaccum! and it reved up like I created a vaccum leak immediatly. the pcv system is "modified" but from what i can tell it did look correct.

the car was also smoking white, but it smelled like fuel. Im also slightly colorblind andhave trouble seeing smoke color.

please help! once i get this figured out im getting a new P body for 300 bucks!

probably the PCV system, I'd put it back to stock or modified to something closer to stock operation. Unplug the 'pcv' they've setup and go for a drive, see how she runs. I bet there is no check valve in the 'pcv' system they made...

where should it be? ill take it for a "test drive" and hack one in :)

would that make the car smoke? the crank case being under alot of vaccum?
