It's located by the air box and looks like a 'Y' If you look thru the 'Y' you will see a aluminun insert restricting the air flow too a pinhole.

You should have no problem making that "Y" with a restrictor.
Is the restrictor/orifice located before or after the "Y"?

Then just add a "Y" and directly after a 3/16" restrictor that you can get in the vacuum connector section at Advance or Autozone.

Vacu-Tite 3/16" Vacuum Restrictor Part# 47311

Just trace your vacuum lines aroud the cruise control and look for a y connector. Look inside if you see anything that looks like it restricts air flow thats it.

Don't know if an 87 uses the 88 cruise control system or not. I know that they used a Vaccum ejector. If your interested, here is a link to how it works.
