Hey Everyone! We've been building up a 1989 Shelby Daytona here at the shop, and we've been filming the entire cylinder head inspection, rebuild, and port-n-polish job while we're at it. I wanted to say Thank You to everyone here at Turbo Dodge for all the great info and advice we've collected while planning this build.
If you're interested, feel free to check out our progress and watch the first part of the rebuild process (inspection and crack repair) over at our website. (Sorry, I can't post URL links in here yet. Just type in GarageXTV.com and it should come right up.)
We've got more video on it's way. Next up, we're taking our viewers through a DIY port and polish, along with the install of our +1mm intake and exhaust valves. Then we're off to the chassis dyno for back-to-back comparisons of a standard "reman" head vs. our modified "hot head". We'll see how we really made out.
Happy to hear what you guys and gals think. I'm by no means a guru of the Chrysler 2.2 (As you will quickly see in the fist part of our rebuild!), but I am very grateful for all the help and information this site has provided us. I just wanted to share what we were up to.
Drop me a message or find me on the Facebooks. I'd love to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Matt
