I have a few 87-89 G-J body digital dashes and want to "bench test" them. I have the harness pigtails that I cut out of the dash before I scrapped the car to make this easier. I only have 90+ FSMs so I dont with the wiring diagrams:bang head. So who knows what wires I have to give 12V and ground for it to turn on so I know they work. O,NAJ.......

My manuals are all 1990 and newer but I will dig thru my misc. wiring diagrams and see if I can find anything.

I found wiring for 88/89 AG body electronic instument clusters and they are the same.
On the L/S connector term 10 OR wire is illumination.
On the R/S connector term 23 BK/LG is a ground
Term # 25 DB is an ign feed
Term # 26 RD is a batt feed

Most the digi dashes have 2 grounds IIRC
see this thread, most of the wire colors are common so you chould be able to figure it out just by color
