I am new to this site, and I need help figuring out the DTC we got on our 2005 dodge 1/2 ton hemi. The codes are P2118 - Throttle Actuator Ctrl Motor Current Range/Perf and P2110 - Throttle Actuator Ctrl Sys-Forced Limited RPM. Twice now the ETC light came on when we started the truck and was flashing. It was really cold both times. When I started the pickup to let it warm up, it was idoling rough, and when I went in to back up and drive, I would step on the gas and no response, no reving up and nothing would happen, just still idoling. So I put it in park and shut it off and started it up and it was fine, no light and I could drive. I just mainly wanted to know if this is a major problem or just a fluke with the -30 below temps. We are getting terrible gas mileage, and just thought this may be a contributor, so I though I would check what you knew. Also, the air filter smells like gas, is this normal?
Thanks

When you say correct the faults that are present, what are you referring to? New air filter, oil, etc? How would we go about checking the throttle for ice and dirt buildup? So mainly you are saying that we should have nothing to worry about, the smell and light are related to the cold temps? I turned the key three times from off to on to get the codes in the information center. The oil does not smell like gas, but we are due for a change, so we have one scheduled tomorrow.
Thanks again
