Finally got the engine in my 88 Daytona last night. We got it to fir up but after unhooking the Temp. unit, The timing misses really bad. (Kinda like misses a couple beats) New Wires and plugs, etc.

I have no idea where to go from here. Tha only codes I had were 23 and 33 I believe.

Please help, as I have to be moved by this next Saturday and have the car reliable to go 100 miles+ a day for work.

It runs, but the problem is that even with 2 different timing lights it misses spark. You can't even turn the distributor at all or it dies. I've got a 2.5 HEP (I think it's the same as a 2.2?) I'll try it and I also bought a new Wells Gold Line Distributor cap and rotor kit to try next.
