I have an 86 turbo z that I blew the head gasget on last summer, before it went though, a mechanic told me that the rearmain seal needed to be replaced. Whould that have anthing to do with the headgasget going out on it? If you can help me out and tell me what I need to have done on it that whould be great its driving me crazy that I cannot drive it. It needs to eat rice burners lol.

Thanks, please mail me I am trying to find a good price to get it all fixed.

I replaced my rear main seal and all the pan gaskets and end seals when i replaced my clutch recently. I also recommend cleaning out the oil pan and replacing the rod bearings while you are under there, they take a beating, its easy to do them all when you turn the crankshaft just so. Yeah the only thing that will happen from the leak would be oil in the clutch or just a leak on the ground, wouldnt cause anything else to go out.
