1991, Dodge, Daytona, Shelby, 5-Speed. Just lost all gears except 1st. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jeff Bobela. Also, just rolled it out of the exhaust shop-could they maybe removed a bolt or something that MIGHT cause these?

If it flops around you more than likely have a broken shifter cable.
Remove the airbox and you will see where the two shifter cables attach to the transaxle.
If you find that the factory plastic snap grommet has broken and the shifter cable will no longer stay attached to the shift linkage at the transaxle the fix is...
you might also be missing the clip that holds the shift cable to the bracket on the trans
had one I fixed , everything worked but no reverse
.. missing clip prevented full extension / retraction of the cable in the sheathing before the sheathing also started to move with the cable
You might be right, the shifter area sounded different and heard a bracket floating around. Thanks
