We Need Some Help From The Turbo Geru's Out There
2.2 turbo 1 88 daytona automatic

Just got the motor put in got the timing set and finally got it started did not drive it though seemed smooth at idle..

Then the next day when I started it it ran smooth for about 30 seconds then the idle races up a little then it seems to come slow down a bit and then die..

I have a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and when it goes to die out the pressure goes up to 60 then dies. It then seems to stay at 50 when the car is off. Sometimes the pressure in the rail goes down quickly when the car is off and other times it does not(quickly I mean 10-20 seconds) all the injectors have been replaced. I did also replace the gas tank fuel pump while I was changing motors and the little emissions vacuum nipple broke off on the top tank valve.. I AM HITTING A WALL HEAR!! :bang head

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT CAN'T WAIT TO DRIVE HER!!

Yes, please tell us how you solved the problem!
Yes, tell us. I would like to do the same thing to my car. It runs like a hairy ape right now, and I want to do the conversion to shaved ape specs. Maybe a how-to? Somebody sticky this...
Check the wires to your HEP. Mine were worn when my Z had similar symptoms. What is your fuel level? AIS and or TPS might be part of your issue as well.

Edit: oopsie
