Help! Still Messing with the Rampage. Timings Right, STILL WONT RUN--

Hello TD, thanks for stopping by. I posted a week or so ago asking for help, and I thought I had it figured out. The last I had it running was about 3-4 days ago, but it still lacked power due to timing. Now I have the timing exact, right? I have the cam gear at 12 o'clock with the cylinder head, crank sprocket pointing at the intermediate shaft. I dont go off the mark on the intermediate shaft, I rotated it to where the rotor is pointing at the #1 cylinder. When I look into the #1 cylinder I see the piston at tdc. Also, the mark in the bell housing is at 0 degrees, so its timed correctly, right? My chilton says the ignition degree is at 10 degrees, is that what the bell housing mark should show when timed? Or is that the degree that the engine runs at? For instance, I have it timed so its at the 0 degree mark, would I rotate the distributor thats flush with the engine slightly clockwise/retarded in order to bump the 0 degrees to its proper running 10 degrees? Its a stock 84' Rampage 2.2, If all thats right then I think it would be the ecu? It gives a split second attempt to run then just cranks. With Starting fluid its will run for a second or two. Thought I flooded it so I opened the throttle so the butterflies were open so it will help excess gas to evaporate. I had it open for about an hour. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, any info on what would be a good Weber 32/36 carb upgrade? Not sure the difference between the dgev, dgav, dgv, dfev...
Weber Kit Lookup

K453, 32/36, DFEV

Or drop a Carter slant six 2 barrel reman carb on it. easy to adjust and cheap, just takes a little work to bolt it on. But gets you away from BS smog carbs. I have run this weber, like adding nitrous but a lot more money.
Moved your thread to a more appropriate section so you get more looks and hopefully the answers you are looking for.
Also, I am sending you a PM with ignition timing info.

Thank you very much NAJ!
Make sure you are setting base timing correctly. Remove vacuum line from power module (just like the days of removing vacuum advance hose on the old distributors). Additionally, when you have timing set, increase rpm to make sure you are getting timing advance. You want to see over 30° at 3000 rpm.
When timing it to 10 degrees I want to remove the ecu hose first?
Yes this keeps the motor cars electronics from combating your timing procedure
Thanks Q, I will time it again tomorrow. It starts with starting fluid still, but once it eats that in about 2-3 seconds and gets to the regular gas and it just dies. Either way, il let you know how it reacts to timing it correctly tomorrow, thanks all.
