hooking up an alternator

I have an 89 daytona that no longer uses a logic module, I need to know how to wire the alternator in order for the battery to hold a charge. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has a diagram of the 89 charging system that wouldf be a great help as well. Thank you
