how do you get aftermarket coils to work?

i bought an accel ss coil cause mine was leaking fluid and thought might be a good idea to replace it. ok but. the plug is different. the coil wire just snaps over the little metal thing in the stock one. but the accel coil and the msd coil i looked at both have it setup the opposite way. the have a little ring down in them you push the coil wire down into intead of snapping down over it like the stocker. any takers on how to rememdy this?
