I have a stock T2 garrett and I am curious as to how you take the exhaust wheel off?
I have this turbo taken apart all the way down to the exhaust housing, shaft and the exhaust wheel. Now I need to remove the shaft and not sure how that comes out of there without hurting the shaft.

once the compressor wheel is removed, the turbine wheel/shaft will slide right out the back.

I will post a pic of what I have it down to when I get off work.
I thought it should slide out,but it sure won't. It spun freely, but was smoking because oil was leaking on the exhaust side.

Gunk is keeping it from sliding out. Soak it in penetrant and clean out. tap it out nice and easy with straight blows.

yeah oil coked up on the rear oil seal will cause it to stick a bit. some gentle tapping on the compressor end of the shaft should loosen it up. use something soft like a plastic or deadblow hammer or a small chunk of wood.
