I have the old style IAC motor, and the motor and gears all work fine, but it keeps ramping up RPM's for no reason. Without anything else to check, I want to try replacing it altogether.

Mopar 4275651, superseded by 4268837. Been obsolete for a long time.

You'd have to search a bit, but someone on this site posted a very informative "how to" on cleaning & rebuilding these.

@Capt W Thanks for the Mopar numbers! I did clean and reassemble this one, and it moves freely. I can open and close it very smoothly with my bench power supply. I'm very confused by the problem I have, which is that it will randomly start ramping up the RPM's unless I turn on the A/C, at which point it will start gradually dropping the RPM again. All I can think is that it's moving past its stops or it's too loose and is moving by force of suction.

Looks like my local dealer can still get the 4268837 for regular price, so I'll probably do that so that it's easier to return if it's obviously wrong. I can definitely wait a little while, in case anyone here has one used.
