When the lebaron is idle the check guage comes on. If the air/headlights are on it is always on. When I accelerate it goes away. The battery is fine. I was told it might be the voltage regulator. This is inside the alternator. It it means anything the lebaron is not driven much. Not sure if these go bad. Wanted to get your view. When driving the guage light comes on and the battery symbol comes on. Any information would be much appreciated.

lebaron 2.5, automatic, turbo

Thank you

What year?
The voltage regulator is integral to the engine controller.
If voltage is dropping at idle and increases with engine speed either idle speed is low or the belt is slipping and the alternator is not turning fast enough.
