One of my legs (wires) broke off my ignition coil capacitor which is jumped across the + and - terminals of the ignition coil. I've looked around and can not find any information. Would anyone know the value of the capacitor?

Capacitors were not used on our cars,

The capacitors that were used on coils/alternators were for radio noise suppression only.

Could it be a filter to reduce static on the "old" style radio's. Do you want me to upload a pic of it?

ya , it's a filter to take electrical interferance away

this would be for the radio but also to a part for the electronics too

if your not getting noise through the radio you can prob get away without it

at one time I was running solid core wires on a log motor and except for a very faint noise out of the radio I had no probs running them - some electronics might be more sensitive than others though
