Has anyone ever taken their dash out ? Is it a super tedious job or is this something fairly simple

I just took one out of my Turismo. Not too bad of a job, the plastics are easy to crack! I should have removed heater control cables before trying to lower dash. I wrecked controls and cracked some dash edges! My advice....take it slow and easy. haha

For a 1986 Omni... Anyone experienced ripping out the dash and getting to these components? Any tips, tricks, easier ways to approach this?

an earlier owner broke the drivers side hanger bracket on my GLH and welded the dash to the car lol. that was fun.

Haha! Yes, every time I buy a new to me GLHT, I spend "X" amount of time reversing previous mechanics and owners "repairs" and outright blunders. Part of the journey I guess.

I could write a book on dopey things I've encountered over the years.

Often I say, "there are more dud mechanics than dud cars"

No disrespect to all the fine mechanics!!

There are plenty of good ones.

The trick is finding one.

Sounds fun. How far into the removal process did you get before you realized it was welded?
