Hey Guys, the parts suppliers no longer specify transmission types on their Logic & Power modules. Can anyone tell me which one of each I need for a '85 Laser turbo? Thanks for any help.

Cross-reference the Mopar numbers:

5226611 LOGIC MODULE, Turbo w/Auto.
5226794 Turbo w/Man. Trans.

5226766 MODULE, Power w/Turbo

I figured I'd better go ahead and look before ordering something. Not sure how much difference it would've made to order 5226794 (I almost did) but here's what I found behind the kick panel.

Looks like the 795 was a late-year change/update of 794. There are two (used) 795s on eBay right now; if you look at their labels, they are both late-'85 (one is May and one is June).

My '85 K-car is very similar. It's a June 1985 build and it's OEM logic module also differs from the parts catalog.

In any case, the aftermarket LMs are the same for both, either Cardone 79-7243 or Blue Streak EM243. The latter is a bit less on RA:

Are you certain your LM (pictured) isn't an aftermarket piece? I've never seen a label like that one. Mopar remanufactured unit would have been R5227243.

I have no idea what may have been done to this car. One of the two kick panel screws is missing, so either it fell out, or someone's been in there. The bag is really dusty, but I guess that doesn't really mean anything. Blue Streak is the only 5226794 listed in R.A., so I ordered it. Hope it's right.
