Need a hitch to fit my 1989 caravan. class 1 or 2 will suffice, will only be pulling a 14' aluminum boat (and trying to keep weight down).

the one off the van im buying is the small hitch like the smaller cars doubt that would be suffice for that

Clayton, I doubt that a car one would fit, they seem to be pretty custom pieces. I dont even think a long wheel base van hitch would fit my turbo mini.

Well does it say the specs on it? Can you get me a brand and a part number? The trailer and boat is less than 1500 lbs I would bet, and the tounge weight isnt that heavy. I can pull the fully loaded trailer around the yard with my bare hands with ease so the hitch doesnt need to be too heavy duty.

Caravan used the same hitch from 84-95 I think, grand and SWB were the same part numbers. Some will not allow for the use of a full size or 15" spare tire to be used though. Also, class III is only good to 3500# on these vans, same as class II.
