Sorry for so many questions.

1. Is the heater/AC controls supposed to light up?

2. If my car never had the electronic navigator, would the plugs still be there? And would I only be able to use the navigator from my car year (1988)?

89 and older daytonas have the wiring already there taped behind the dash (you just have to dig around a bit back there)

The heater controls are supposed to light up, if they don't it is most likely a burnt out bulb
