...and I can't find the size I need anywhere. I have an unground, but polished crank. I already miced the crank, and all of the sizes were 50.038mm +/- .001mm. Spec is 49.979 to 50.005mm. Which is .0012992". I've always heard polishing takes about .001" off, so this is pretty damn close. Anyone know where I can find .001" or .002" over rod bearings? I'm pretty sure I've heard of .001" bearings before, but I can't find them...

if mopar, fwdperformance, auto parts stores dont have it, your gonna have to make the crank fit the bearings.

Try standard size, check with plastigage. A more accurate way to measure the "bearing clearance" for the complete assembly.

You do not have to worry about your micrometer calibration and the stacking error in measurements.

You should be able to buy plastigage at any good auto parts store.

Ok, I located a set in Georgia that are .001" over, so I'll grab those. And I will be prastigaging the crank before final installation
