Bought a new lebaron for 400 with a bad trans but have most of the stuff for a 5 speed swap. Got p body peddles and sure will need to make them work like i did when i used p body peddles in a daytona. Only thing really wondering is where to put the shifter cables though the fire wall or floor like the p body. Won't get the car till Friday so will post pics then. Looking for input on best way to swap the 5 speed in I hate auto cars.

I think I'd install it the same way the factory did. thru the floor.
I didn't know they put 5 speeds in lebarons

yeah, they are very rare but they are out there. both 2.2/2.5 and 3.0.
Now i wonder about the peddles I know i made them work for a daytona we will have to see about this car and need to make a bracket to hold the clutch cable on the strut tower too
I did a 5 speed swap a few months ago. I used a 91 daytona donor car to swap into my 94 shadow 3.0. For the pedals, just swap the longer shaft into your existing pedals, you can swap brake pedals or cut yours in half. I wouldn't recommend trying to swap that HUGE bracket because you have to take the steering colum all apart and it's a PITA. You will have to make a clutch pedal stop somehow. You can cut off and weld the one off the 5 speed bracket or whatever. If you make your stop like in the link below, beware that your clutch pedal will not "auto" adjust.

Converting a Dodge Spirit to 5-speed
That link has a lot of good info, I used it as a guideline for mine.
Clutch pedal stop is easy - piece of 1" flatbar about 2" long, drill a 3/8" hole in one end centered about 1/2" in - pull one of the steering column / brake bracket nuts off - you'll know the one I'm talking about when you look.. they are vertical ones that the Steering Column fastens to, put the flatbar piece over the stud, and put the nut back on and poof.. stops the clutch pedal perfectly inline with the brake pedal.

Also, as MC4 said - don't try and swap the whole bracket. Since you're using parts from a Shadow, the bracket itself is probably different anyways. Just swap the bolt/pin and pedals. I know many people say the all the car brackets are the same, but they really aren't. My parts for my swap were from a Daytona (into a Shadow), and the bracket was at least 1" longer from the firewall out. The bolt holes matched, but it wouldn't have fit behind the dash properly.
I am going to do it the way u are saying and just zaurus the pedles over easier than taking dash out and fabbing the whole bracket to work. Which I did do before for a daytona but this seems allot easier. Now the hard part comes and that's waiting till Friday to get paid and get the car towed home.
Got the car home today and took a quick look saw a few things on the car that wasn't there the last time i seen it but nothin I can't fix but looking for a few things now grill is broke and door hinge is broke on lower drivers door. And i am sure more but still didn't see much rust in most places like normal still need more time to look.

great looking vert!!!! i love mine! just wish it was a 5 speed!
my buddy somehow found a 2.5Turbo 1 with a 5spd and a hardtop. lol

make sure, when your done, that the clutch peddle fully engages and disengages the clutch and that your using the right clutch cable.

In 2004 i had a 1991 2.5lT HTQ hardtop with 181k miles on it. I got rearended after having it for less then 72hrs and it was totaled :(

Well got to go over the car today and found some more things wrong the drivers door lower hinge is broken off the door which is in one of the pics some body damage on the passanger side, the grill is missing, and some damage to the trunk and the plastic tail light and it runs weird it might just need gas got it with gas light on and lock gas cap. And wondering what I am going to do for the center gear shifter either get one that would have been for a lebaron or make this work

Ok worked in the car today really for the first time because the girl didn't transfer the title well got it done Friday and this was the first day I could work on it. Got it today down to the axles and bellhousing bolts to finish pulling trans. Got a question about the axles. The question is do I have the better set or the cheap replacement from a autoparts store. They are abs ones with a full circle body one on the inner side. And wondering if their was a better set could be found.
Ok got the trans and computer out and ran into a problem with this being a newer a604 there is no speedo sensor on the axle now I know the passanger side axle won't work for the 5 speed at least if I want the speedo to work. Not sure if it will even go into the 5 speed trans haven't got it in to try it. My question is when I was doing the reading on the sites for the link given above it gave colors for a speedo that I didn't see in the trans wiring at all so could they be differnt since it is a differant speedo sensor style. I sure could use naj for a wiring diagram right now to find out cause I am going to get the right axle hopefully soon so would like it wired up even if i can use the axle without the speedo gear being part of it.
msg NAJ

my spedo wiring goes like this

orange for power
orange and white goes to sbec and to the cluster
the third is a ground.

thats how i have it wired with megasquirt in my car.. not sure if the colors are the same for the auto cars.

do you have a 5spd speed sensor?
I did message naj today and I do have the 5 speed speed sensor but don't have the pigtail for it though. I also do have a 93 shadow 5 speed computer in it too so that might make it a lil easier to wire up.
I think as long as it goes to the cluster you will be fine.
Well tomorrow I find out about the axles when i take them out as to if they even have the spot where the speedo gear would ride.
Well got the trans out today and found out thee axle does have the speedo gear there so will be able to use my axles I have. Now just have to finalize what wires go from the sensor to the computer using both from a 93 shadow 5 speed car.
