Sad to see it go but the new owner will get it fixed up a lot sooner than I would.

Very confusing that the trans slips into neutral when the accelerator is floored !!!

The kickdown shaft rotates inside the selector shaft. They are know to rust over time & stick together causing the issue you are having. The purpose of the kickdown linkage is to tell the trans when you are at wide open throttle so it hold the shifts longer, and will downshift when you nail it.

Pull the arm off the kickdown shaft and spray some PB blaster, or your favorite rust buster( NOT WD40) on it and let it work a while. If it doesn't free up, you only choice is a trans disassembly...

The tire rubbing on the trans case is considered "friendly contact", no problem.

Axles from an Automatic 1988-90 Omni/Horizon are the ticket.

I should know the answer to this but old age hasn't been kind to my memory.

After deciding no more projects, a rust free 1984 Rampage sneaked into my yard back in July.

I want to closely duplicate the black 1984 below that I regretfully sold a few years back.

A Shelby Charger hood and nose are what I'm using, no air dam, skirts erc

Then I had a stroke in August and lost the use of my left hand.

Recently a friend removed the 4 headlight nose and set the 2 headlight nose in place.

The nose seems to fit over the rebar but it sticks out about 3" too far.

I only have the 4 headlight rebar so I Don't have a 2 headlight unit to compare.

It appears if I get shorter rebar/bumper brackets the nose will fit??

When I did my last one years ago I got a nose/rebar complete and shoved it on.

The 4 headlight cover was cracked so I threw it away complete with rebar and didn't compare them.

Anyone do anything similar recently?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

I know the junction is different but thought the hoods could interchange.

Mother Mopar made a running change on the '83 'Pages/Scamps on the 25th of January 1983 to the HOOD,FENDER, A-PILLER JUNCTION of those 3 parts. If you ever need fender replacements for your '83 you'll need the build date of your Trucklet before you go shopping. BEFORE'S + AFTERS WILL NOT INTERCHANGE. Take your vin # to any Mopar Dealership and have them punch you # into their computer to get your build date. They call me Jer on the internet TTO, 1st names are allowed, and John you've met. I'll check on the carpet, the sticker is on the carpet like boot/cover over the jack.

I found out about the fenders the hard way years ago!!

But I thought the hoods interchanged.

What I'm up to is putting a S/C Turbo hood and nose on my 84.

I know that works but someone 7 hrs away needs a hood and nose for a 1982.

I told him my 1984 nose and hood would fit but now you have me worried!!

Don't want him to drive all that way for nothing.

I'm working on recreating my old Rampage that I regrettably sold.

Labels are on the inside of the jack cover.

Carpet goes on the back panel up to and I think behind a plastic under the window.

Mine has brown/tan seats with moveable headrests.

Sooo are your jack instructions labels are on the inside or outside of the jack cover???

Didn't have a jack cover when I got my Rampage but the labels were stuck on the back panel...

My labels seem to be falling off as they probably don't stick to "cloth" very well.

It's a wonder they're still there.

Any chance you could take a couple more pics please??

I'm replacing my 4 headlight nose with a 2 and am finding the differences.

The plate or bracket that goes from the nose to the rad support with the hood catch.

Mine doesnt fit and I'd like to see what the right one looks like.

Also 2 little brackets on each side of the rad that also go to the nose.

What do you mean about the hood pins??

The decals are just sitting on the fabric jack cover, it's a miracle they're still there!!

The jack cover must not have been removed many times over the years.

If you have problems getting yours off you could copy mine.

If you know anyone who could reproduce them I'd be happy to mail them to you.

I've seen so many blue valve covers over the years I thought early ones were blue??

I'm in the process of putting a SC nose on my 84 but missing a few parts.

I'm expecting an out of towner this Sat to swap my parts for what I need.

The folks who bought my 1984 nose and hood just emailed and confirmed they fit their 1982 perfectly.

We exchanged re bars, signal lights and the 3 tin brackets so I could use a SC nose and hood on my 1984.

1982 and 1983 are pretty much the same other than late 1983 used different front fenders.

There was a change in the cowl around Feb 1983 that led to different fenders.

Most other things are interchangeable, 1984 had several changes including nose, hood and interior.
