Trying to check timing on 84 Rampage--
Cannot find anything on rusty flywheel.
Is it paint/or marked via groove or how do I clean up to find mark???
It is a groove, about 1/8in thick and spans the width of the flywheel

The color, their were 3 different grays. But Greg is the expert on Gray Scamp trucklets so I'm sure he'll chime in too. He's got the coolest one on the planet:thumb: It's been in my driveway but he won't let me touch it:shrug:
I think there was (according to figures) only 1 gray that was used for an all grey truck, the other two where two tones paint schemes

The Scamp was only made 1 year. Total production was 3564 trucks. Of those, 2184 were base trucks like yours(and what mine started life as). 1380 were GT's. Of the 2184 base Scamps built, only 226 were painted Charcoal Grey Metallic.

It's all laid out here: Plymouth Scamp pickup option and production figures

The rarest one to find would be a base Scamp in the two tone Silver/Black combo. There were only 11 of them built!!!

When you get some time, give us some more details on your truck. Is it an auto, 4 speed, 5 speed? What options does it have? Inquiring minds want to know.:D

Dang yellonoma beat me to it while I was typing.... :)
;) Snooze ya loose lol

Turbinecar is a great site, that's were my production figures for the scamps came from ultimately (cited and credit given of coarse!)
