Hi guys,

Does anyone know at what psi the Garrett turbo that came on the turbo dodge's will "run out of steam"? Just wondering what the peak boost level is.

Thanks

with adequate fuel, intercooling, and all things being ideal, the stock t2 garret turbo can push mid to high 20's....after that youll be passing the point of diminishing returns....it may make the boost, but heat the air more than your intercooler can compensate for and therefore make less power than you would at a lower boost level.

alright, so my friend should be FAIRLY safe running about 21-24 psi then?...with a front mount SRT-4 intercooler.

Upgrade that IC.

I think it's better than no IC, but I know it's not as good as a good IC.

You can look at a compressor map to see where the efficiencies lie. At 25-30psi (~300ish hp) you're going off the map. However, a lot of people do it and have good results.
