I have a hard to steer car. The pump was low on fluid and the belt was loose. The thing started steering hard so I checked it out. The car never worked any better after tightening the belt and adding fluid. How can I tell for sure if I have a bad pump or rack. I don't know why, but I have a feeling it's the rack. I'd hate to put the pump in if it's the rack.
Thanks
Well, It's the rack. I put a pump in it and the $^%# still steers hard. As much as I don't want to, I guess I have to put a rack in. I'd actually like to get rid if the car but it;s my daily driver.
