Ok first off nice site! Secondly I dont have a Pt but I have a 2001 2.4 Dodge Stratus. I was wondering if anyone could help me with some info On the Turbo'd PT's. I know they come with a 2.4 so I was thinking about buying the Pt Turbo set up if it will work. So what i need to know {if you wanna help} is:
whats the compression?
How bigs the turbo?
And probbly the most important I could really use some good clean up close pics of under the hood. if this is in the wrong fourm I am sorry. Once again great site and I hope to hear from you guys and girls.

Thanks,
Alpine

Hi Alpine.

I'm not an expert on the Turbo, but I have done a little reading up on it. The engine in the Turbo isn't a PT engine with a turbo bolted onto it. It's actually a beefed up and redesigned engine. So for the OEM version, you'd have to buy the whole engine.

There are aftermarket turbos for the 2.4. You might want to look into one of them or buy the PT Turbo engine on the hoof. Buy a PT Turbo. A word of warning though. By the time you get it home you'll give up all thoughts of putting its engine into a Stratus. 8o

Might want to look at Bob Stockum's website: http://www.bstockum.com/turboblock2.html

If you notice the crank position sensor is in a different position and has more teeth. They say the engine/block will bolt up but you would need to see an ignition specialist to see if anything can be done to make it work in your application. Might be easier to just beef up your current engine and add a Hahn turbo plus all the other go fast parts.
