I put my first air fuel ratio meter on this car. The read out bounces all around during normal driving. It some times even blacks completely no lights on. When I first dump the throttle hard it will go extreme red then shoot up to the safe area. Also it stays almost maxed out in the green under full throttle accelleration but under partial throttle hard accelleration it bounces around.
Is this normal? Do I only have to worry about continuously staying in a lean condition at hard or wide open throttle?

I don't know the difference. It uses the stock 02 sensor.

If it uses the stock O2, it's a narrowband (0-1 volt). Widebands are 0-5 volts and are more accurate and faster to respond. You definitely don't want to be lean when you're hammering on it. Being lean in vacuum isn't really a big deal, but you need to be in the green in boost.

Narrowband. You want that thing pegged full rich at WOT or above 5-7psi. Even then you don't know how much fuel you really have due to the output voltage curve of a narrowband O2.
