Hi,

Is that right that the car will run rough for about 40 miles after the battery has been disconect for a litle while??

I left the battery disconected for 2 days and now the car is running a bit rough,
Idle droped few time to about 500 rpm then return to normal, big loss of power...

needs to relearn, can take a while before it idles and runs well after the battery is disconnected

The big power loss isnt very typical. Some of the idle issues and minor driveability are as extremepickup said, the computer is resetting the adaptives/learning.

Very minor changes should be noticed after the adaptive memory has been cleared. You have something wrong. Any fault codes present after clearing? Check the basics:

1. Let the engine warm up, disconnect the Coolant Temperature Sensor and check the base ignition timing and minimum idle. Shut the engine off and reconnect the CTS.

2. Check all vacuum lines and replace if necessary

3. Double check the valve timing
